If you haven’t seen the newest social bookmarking blogging experiment, BloggingZoom, or you have just decided not to check it out, you are losing potential traffic and new readers.

What is BloggingZoom?
Similar to the popular social bookmarking site, Digg, BloggingZoom is designed for users to submit stories, in hopes of it getting “Zoomed” and bring in traffic. It’s purpose is a bit different though. BloggingZoom is targeted to, well, bloggers. Bloggers can submit their own content and sit back and let the traffic come to them.
BloggingZoom is Easy to Use
There isn’t much to say about BloggingZoom. It’s as simple to use as Digg. It’s maybe a four minute process to get started. You create an account, you find a good article you’ve written on your blog, copy and paste the link when you click on ‘Submit a New Post’, enter a four sentence description about the post, and submit it! That’s all there is to it. Honestly, submitting a new post just takes two minute and in return you’ll receive traffic. Need I say more?
Take Advantage Now
It’s important to hop on while it’s early and growing rapidly. To make it in the sidebar under “Top Today” you only need around 5-10 ‘Zooms’. If you write a good post, it’s easy to get that many. You should start now and submit your posts while BloggingZoom is growing at a rapid place and people are running over to check it out. It would be stupid not to try BloggingZoom. Seriously. It’s free traffic, and it only takes a minute to submit a story.
My Results
So far, my results have been good. I have submitted three stories and have received over 21 unique visits from BloggingZoom. And it keeps on coming. Of course, I could improve the amount of traffic I receive by just submitting posts in the morning instead of late afternoon. I’m in no position to complain though, it’s traffic!

So, I think I’ve posted my third entry on Blogging Zoom, and it’s starting to bring a little bit of traffic. Like any social network, it has its own style and taste, and I think as I’m learning these, I’ll start to do better with it. For example, Stumble Upon loves images, especially unusual ones, and luckily, running a photo blog, my site has been pretty popular there. Digg seems to love open source, Linux, and the Mac O/S, so if you want to do well on Digg, you probably don’t want to write about Windows being great. I’m not sure yet where Blogging Zoom’s tastes lie, but anyone who wants traffic sent from BZ would be smart to figure that out.

I had never heard of this site but I am excited to add my
Strategic Thinking site on there and see if it gets any attention. Thanks for the tip.

Hi,
I have never come across to this site. And, you have mentioned that you got 21 unique visits by posting only 3 stories. Is it still continue?
It has no PR. So, I think that one can’t get these much unique visits except you.:)

How popular BZ is isn’t related to pagerank, but traffic rank which sits at 91k. You have more of an opportunity to get more traffic today then you would have at the beginning (I think). Try it out for yourself.

Hi Casey,
You have mentioned that this site has 91k traffic. Is it per month? If so, then it is very good for me.:)
How can you get this data? Have you received any email from them?

No I meant BloggingZoom’s Alexa traffic RANKING. How much traffic they receive is different. Check out http://www.alexa.com.
