Hey kids, it’s me Bush filling in for Casey again while she’s gone! For the little time I have here during this stint, I think I’m going to talk about your ad spots – Your 125×125 sidebar spots, your 300×250, whatever.

I’m going to show you how to fill your ad spots TODAY so you can get on the fast train to making money! And I’m gonna show you how to do it in just two easy steps. First up is Step 1 – Layout.

Show Advertisers You’re Serious
Advertisers need to feel good about putting money into your site. As the webmaster, you have to give them that warm and wonderful feeling by doing two important things…

  • Have visible ad spots above the fold.
  • Have an advertising page.

Visible Ad Spots
Sure it sounds like a no brainer, but I’ve been guilty of this one myself. Look – People need to see the spots where they’re advertising so if you’re telling people to advertise on your site and they can’t find the places their ads are going to go, they obviously feel a bit of a disconnect. So even if you don’t have any ads currently on your site, you need to at least place a small graphic in it’s place saying “Advertise Here” and link it to your Advertising page. Doing this also serves a second purpose in letting your casual readers (who may also want to advertise) that you have advertising solutions available.

Advertising Page
I won’t go into all the specifics of what makes a good advertising page (since Casey has done all the hard work already), but you have to have one. It kinda tops everything off and makes your site appear very serious an advertising solution.

Now that the ground work is done, I’ll conclude this petite series, and tell you how to fill your ad spots TODAY!
