Think about what advertisers ultimately want; leads that convert to sales. If you can guarantee x% of those, you have more success.

US businesses don’t need cr*ppy clicks from Eastern Europe or Asia.

Lots of good points Tay. One of things I PURPOSELY didn’t cover here was how you go about contacting advertisers w/o turning them off.

And great note about Digital Point Forums which is really a great place FOR LOTS O THINGS if others don’t know about them. There are many other ways to get your ad spots sold too – Many of which Casey has already covered also.

Bush, you’ve proved some excellent points.

However, if someone contacted me asking for money and advertising, I’d probably get a little annoyed. Let’s face it: the internet is nothing like the real world. People expect a lot more for a lot less.

One of the best ways to sell advertising, which is how I have sold ALL of mine (well maybe 99%), is Digital Point Forums. They have a Buy, Sell, Trade forum where you can post whatever you’re selling, looking for, trading, ANYTHING. All of my advertisers have come from there, and I’ve made hundreds by promoting my ads there. Not only that, but you get plenty of traffic from forums too.
