If you want to make money online from your blog, you are going to need to place ads on your blog. Most people are doing sidebar ad buttons nowadays, so it won't be horrible if you do it too. Just know when to stop. I think I'll do a blog post this week covering how I sold those spots even for being a "small-time" blog. You need to balance it out.
