Top 5 Ways to Earn Money With Your Blog

Sure, you’ve heard all the stories about people making $80,000 per month using Adsense. You can try that if you want, but it is just one…and actually one of the riskiest, ways to earn money with your blog or website.

One thing to consider is that Adsense does not reveal how much they pay for each particular click or for any particular click for that matter. If you want to know how much Adsense pays for a particular keyword, you have to do your research as I will talk about next week in Keyword Research for Money Making Blogs.

Any income generated will depend on the subject your site focuses on and the rates that Google has assigned per ad as well as other factors that we will discuss in future articles. One beneficial advantage to Adsense is that Adsense will provide a source of passive income.

So, once your site is set up, it is wise to invest your time on creating multiple profitable ventures within the framework of your money making blog or website.

It is always ideal to use Adsense revenue potentials as a supplement to another money making plan. You could sell information products through your site, for example, and use your Adsense revenues as additional income for when sales are slow.

The Internet offers a lot of opportunities for anybody to make money online.
Here are what I consider to be the top 5 ways to make money with your blog:

    · Affiliate programs. Affiliate commissions range from 20-95% per sale. If you take the time to pre-sell rather than just slapping ads up on a site, you can earn nice sums through these.

    · Create Products. There is nothing stopping you from creating your own products and selling them through your website or blog in order to make money. If you can create an e-book on a popular topic, for example, you might find clever ways to market it. It might even go viral and make you a multi-millionaire.

    · Being a service provider. Got a skill or a talent that other people will find value in? Why not market yourself using your website and earn money by copywriting, creating websites, product design assist, or other intangible services.

    · Sell tangible goods. Know how all those folks are making money on E-Bay? They sell you a product through the virtual world and then ship it to you in the real world. You can sell things on your website as well. One of my first profitable ventures was selling used books online.

    · Resale rights marketing. If you are like me, this one may be hard to come to terms with, but there are many people who purchase resell rights to a product from it’s producer and then proceed to sell it for a huge and lasting profit. I have one friend who bought the resell rights to a series of Yoga Videos for $500 and has been selling them and a companion e-book for $99 each for the past five years. He makes between $2000 and $10,000 every month. It works. Not only that, but in some cases you can then sell the resell rights to a further group and continue to make money from the same rights in different ways.

These are just some of the many, many ways to earn money online. Your money making blog or website is a portal to untold wealth and early retirement if you take the time to do things right.

So don’t get stuck in the trap of thinking Adsense and other Ad Revenue programs are the only way to go around the world using your blog or website.

Results for News Notion- September 2009

While I had hoped to improve my Google Pagerank in September, the fact that I was traveling for most of the month, meant that I was unable to do the important work of building relationships, fine tuning traffic sources, and maximizing my gains. However, as you can see from comparing the September results with the August results, my vital statistics have improved drastically in virtually every area. For instance, have a look at the increases in traffic and twitter followers. These were two areas I focused on in the first ten days of the month before I was traveling. Also look at the massive improvement in Technorati and Alexa rankings. These are important gains. In addition, I am indexed in several search engines in a big way that I was absent from before. Not bad.

In terms of monetization, this month was not ideal. On the positive side, I spent nothing this month since I debited all my expenses from the first months results in August.

Since I am only counting money which enters my Paypal or bank account, I am still unable to count any income from ReviewMe, Adsense, or Kontera since I am still under the minimum payouts with these revenue streams. I will tell you though, that there was about $100 total generated from all three.

I sold ads on several sites for a total of about $25 without third party intervention.

Since I wasn’t actively working on making money, most of my generated income falls under a net 30 or net 60 window, so they don’t count for this month.

Online book sales were right around $40.

And that’s it for money in my pocket.

On the positive side for about $65.

Unfortunately, this month will probably be about the same because of the lack of time I have been putting into the site. How about all of you? What kind of success and/or failures did you have in September?

    Making Money on Twitter

Don’t forget that not everything is totally serious. I’m not on the move for the moment and am in the process of compiling my September results to share with everyone. From what I can see so far it is a mixed bag in terms of creating a money making blog, however, overall the results of my efforts in September appear to be favorable.
